Job Summary
The Farm Manager – Elite Plants will be responsible for overseeing all farm operations at the Elite Plants unit in Rumuruti to ensure efficient production, high-quality standards, and sustainable farming practices. The role involves managing farm teams, implementing production plans, and ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards. This position is ideal for an experienced farm management professional with strong leadership and horticultural expertise.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Design strategy and set goals for growth.
- Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Elite Plants Ltd which entitles:
- Rose and summer flower propagation
- Vegetable propagation
- Avocado and other trees propagation
- Maintain budgets and optimize expenses.
- Set policies and processes
- Responsible person to escalate issues from Simba-Roses to the Simba estate if necessary
Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required
- Graduate in Horticulture,floriculture , Agriculture
- 7-10 years experience in a propagation Unit in the same capacity
- Excellent leaderhsip and Management skills
- Analytical mindset, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and team player facilitating cross-functional collaboration
