Job Summary
The Data Engineer and Analytics Specialist will design, build, and maintain data pipelines, analytics platforms, and reporting solutions to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role focuses on data integration, transformation, analytics, and insight generation while ensuring data quality, security, and scalability. This position is ideal for a technically strong data professional with both engineering and analytical expertise.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Data Pipelines and Data Architecture
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines from ERP Next and related systems into the analytics warehouse (e.g., Snowflake).
- Develop and maintain clean, well-documented data models including fact tables, dimensions and marts aligned to business reporting needs.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and historical integrity across all pipelines.
- Monitor pipeline health and resolve data breaks, latency, or reconciliation issues.
- Automation and Data Operations
- Automate data ingestion, transformations, and refresh schedules across the stack.
- Build data quality checks, validations, and exception alerts (e.g., missing data, outliers, reconciliation mismatches)
- Automate recurring operational reports and refresh cycles for dashboards.
- Reduce manual spreadsheet-based processes through scripted or scheduled workflows.
- Maintain clear documentation of data sources, logic, and dependencies.
- Analytics, Reporting and Business Insights
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for finance, operations, HR and leadership.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting logic.
- Translate ERP transactions into meaningful performance indicators and trends.
- Support ad-hoc analysis, management reporting and executive decision-making.
- Ensure reports are intuitive, trusted and aligned to a single source of truth.
Tools and Technologies
- ERP & Source Systems: ERP Next and integrated operational systems.
- Data Warehouse: Snowflake (or similar cloud data warehouse).
- Analytics & BI: Power BI (DAX, data modeling, dashboards).
- Data Transformation: SQL, scripted transformations, data modeling frameworks.
- Automation & Scheduling: Scheduled jobs, APIs, connectors, or workflow tools.
Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience in data modelling and analysis, with a focus on visualization tools such as Power BI development and tabular data modeling.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages such as SQL, Python, R, DAX or similar.
- Automation mindset with attention to data quality and reliability
- Strong understanding of data governance principles, compliance requirements, and best practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of leading and delivering complex data analysis projects from inception to completion.
- Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Certification in Power BI, Snowflake, or related technologies is a plus.
