Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Channel Sales Engineer, based in Kenya, to lead our Value Brand business (Himel) across East Africa.

In this role, the successful candidate will take full ownership of sales activities and long-term business development, driving revenue growth across the assigned territory and building strong relationships that shape the future of electrification in the region. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with a strong network in the electrical market, capable of building, negotiating, and closing complex deals. Leadership, motivation, and client respect are key attributes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth and exceed ambitious sales targets across East Africa.
  • Develop and expand distribution networks across key channels.
  • Manage sales, events, and marketing strategies to strengthen brand presence.
  • Implement strategies to achieve profitability and market penetration goals.
  • Coordinate with global support teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct market intelligence for pricing and benchmarking strategies.
  • Ensure growth in point-of-sale (POS) performance and customer engagement.

Educational Qualifications, Experience, & Skills Required

  • Essential: Bachelor’s degree BSc. or BEng in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering.
  • 5–7 years of experience in sales and export roles.
  • Proven track record in distributor management and electrical product sales (LV products, power distribution, industrial control, automation).
  • Desirable: Extensive network in the electrical market.
  • Experience with leading electrical industry companies (e.g., Schneider Electric )
  • Ability to penetrate new markets and drive strategic initiatives.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with proven ability to close complex deals.
  • Strategic thinker with leadership and influencing capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, start-up environment and meet performance quotas.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and fluency in English and local languages.
